Arts Therapist is responsible for clinical services provided to
children, adolescents and/or adults, as assigned. The clinician is
held accountable for all related clinical, administrative, and
Quality and Compliance responsibilities.Essential Responsibilities
and MetricsProvides Art Therapy, Counseling and Crisis Intervention
to Clients and their FamiliesProvides high-quality service and
maintains direct service hours per month of 60% for advanced
clinicians and 56% for othersCreates IMCANS (IATP)
AssessmentCompletes IATP within 30 days of initial meeting with
client, modifies and reviews as neededUpdates and records IATP in
CIS as needed and ensures updates are completed prior to six months
due dateCase managementClient centered consultation with community
providersAttendance and participation at clinical presentationsUse
of supervision or consultation when required or neededProvide
clinical supervision to student internProvide timely completion of
Level of Care Utilization System (LOCUS) (for adults)Provide timely
completion of Columbia and Ohio Scales (for children)Maintain
productivity goals as determined by supervisorBe responsive to the
business office regarding client fees/paymentsParticipate in
Accreditation and Certification processes as directedArt Therapy
ResponsibilitiesAssess client needs, using drawing, music,
painting, sculpting, theater, movement, or other expressive
processes-based interventions.Conduct creative or expressive art
therapy sessions providing guided self-expression experiences to
help participants feel an increased sense of wellbeing, connection,
improved self-esteem, and empathy for others.Establish therapeutic
goals or objectives for creative or expressive art therapy sessions
in consultation with the Clinical Supervisor or Director.Request
purchase or gather materials for in-studio for sessions.If skilled,
conduct workshops on techniques of using art in therapeutic
relationships in Teaching Artists, interns, volunteers and staff or
partner organizations.QualificationsMinimum requirement of a
Masters Degree in Art Therapy, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology1
year of post Masters degree Mental Health experience requiredThree
