Job Summary This position is responsible for the preparation of exam rooms and ultrasound equipment to then produce ultrasonic recordings (2D and/or 3D) of internal organs ordered by supervising providers. What you will do - Complete provider requested examinations by operating ultrasound equipment to produce and record images of the motion, shape, and composition of blood, organs, tissues, or bodily masses, such as fluid accumulations. - Prepare patients for examination including the rooms and necessary equipment. - Provide preliminary report/comments of sonography examinations for use by the interpreting physician. - Review sonography examination results to make sure they meet facility standards for Quality Assurance before findings are released for interpretation. - Clean, check, and maintain sonographic equipment, submitting maintenance requests or performing minor repairs as necessary. - Document any incidental findings that might impact patient safety or patient care and provide that information to the interpreting physician. - Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information. Education Qualifications - in sonography n the specialty area(s) to be performed.
