Job Description:
Job Description Key Responsibilities: Business Development:
Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new commercial
construction projects through networking, relationship-building,
and market research. Maintain and expand relationships with general
contractors, developers, architects, and owners. Develop and
present proposals, project capabilities, and value-driven solutions
to clients. Track project opportunities through bid databases and
industry connections. Attend industry events, pre-bid meetings, and
client presentations to promote company capabilities and brand.
Estimating: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for
commercial ground-up and large remodeling projects. Review plans,
specifications, and addenda to understand project scope and
requirements. Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier
pricing to ensure competitiveness and completeness. Collaborate
with project managers and superintendents to validate project
budgets and schedules. Identify cost-saving opportunities and
value-engineering options. Support bid strategy development and
participate in post-bid reviews. Qualifications & Skills: 5 years
of combined experience in commercial construction estimating and
business development. Proven success in selling and winning
projects in the commercial ground-up and large renovation sectors.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry
standards. Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam,
PlanSwift, ProEst, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and
technical documents. Highly organized with strong attention to
detail and time management. Self-motivated and able to work
independently while collaborating effectively with internal
teams.
