Job Description:
Our client is seeking a driven and technically proficient Sales
Manager with a strong background in equipment sales. Ideal
candidates will have experience working with hydraulic presses and
calling on engineering departments or process engineers across a
variety of industries. This is a national role with to key regions
including Texas, California, Pennsylvania, and the Carolinas. Key
Responsibilities Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and
exceed sales targets and profitability goals. Identify, pursue, and
follow up on new business opportunities, including cold calling,
lead generation, and territory research. Call on customer
engineering departments, especially Process Engineers, to
understand and fulfill technical equipment needs. Manage the entire
sales cycle from lead development through quoting, negotiation, and
post-sale follow-up. Conduct quarterly regional customer visits to
maintain strong client relationships and support new business
development. Lead internal order processes after customer purchase
order issuance, coordinating with engineering, operations, and
purchasing. Support sales engineers to ensure pricing strategies
and quoting align with margin goals and payment terms. Provide
market intelligence and prepare regular sales reports, forecasts,
and performance metrics for senior leadership. Collaborate with
marketing to develop technical promotional materials and targeted
campaigns. Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and
market changes to adjust strategy accordingly. Required
Qualifications 3 years of equipment sales experience, ideally in
industrial or capital equipment sectors. Strong technical
background; hydraulic press experience is highly desirable. Proven
ability to work with engineers and technical buyers; experience
working with process engineers preferred. Excellent communication,
negotiation, and customer service skills. Self-motivated with the
ability to work independently and manage a nationwide territory.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite Preferred
Qualifications Prior success growing market share and developing
new territories.
