Job Description:

OverviewGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the general supervision of the employees in assigned unit(s). Maintains standards within assigned units as to service time, quality and productivity. Authorizes overtime as necessary.--Oversees handling of inquiries relative to Acuitys products and services, licensing, and independent agent information. Supports corporate Sales team with agency appointments / partnerships. Supports the development and maintenance of Acuitys Agent Continuing Education (CE) Program, including filings, scheduling, materials and reporting. This includes ensuring state statutes and requirements are met and proper documentation is kept.--In addition, oversees transcribing dictation, formatting documents, creating forms/spreadsheets/name tags/manuals and typing hard copy documents.----SUPERVISES: Employees in assigned units and employees who transfer in to assist assigned units.--REPORTS TO: General Manager - ServicesResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:a. 12% Assist with development and improvement of the Continuing Education Program. Maintain ownership and responsibility for CE System, including enhancement requests. Participate in varied project work and research as it pertains to the CE and/or sales process. Maintain CE data report, providing specific details on CE activity and requirements in each state.--b. 12% Maintain required documentation of each states statutory guidelines. Manage new state implementation, including research and providership application. Identify workflow and system changes/impacts and support any needed training. Perform annual review of state statutes and guidelines. Monitor CE process and ensure state statutes and requirements are met. c. 11% Provide timely responses as the primary CE contact for all states and vendors. This includes responding to state communications, audits, system upgrades, vendor upgrades, and credit reporting problems. Monitor course content, attendance and credit issuance.--d. 10% Collaborate with colleagues to develop/maintain a course curriculum and rollout calendar to ensure CE offerings are timely and meet needs of the independent agent community. Consult on new classroom CE courses, including preparing documentation needed to file courses in all states. Consult on online CE video productions. Assist with the update, review, maintenance and retirement of existing courses, including course refreshes and changes to materials due to projects such as endorsement, system and form changes. Monitor class/program effectiveness and participant satisfaction. Provide periodic summary updates to company stakeholders on CE program.--e. 10% Perform instructor audits, including evaluation form review and periodic onsite session attendance.--f. 10% With respect to employees supervised, assign and direct work, provide on-the-job training and coaching, monitor productivity and quality, evaluate performance, and communicate wage reviews. Meet with employees monthly to discuss team and individual performance.--g. 5% Validate two percent of experienced employees work and 100 percent of newly hired/trained employees work.--h. 10% Keep up-to-date on all procedural and system changes pertaining to assigned units and ensure employees understand and implement changes.--i. 5% Maintain process documentation, meeting minutes, audit/performance records and other documentation for assigned units.--j. 10% Correspond with agents, insureds and other internal departments as necessary to maintain service levels and solve problems.--k. 2% Evaluate staffing situations and prepare recommendations regarding transfers, promotions, hires and terminations. Interview prospective employees.--l. 2% Manage to an annual budget.--m. 1% Assist with the preparation and maintenance of an emergency work continuation program.--n. Regular and predictable attendance.--o. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualificationsa. EDUCATION: High School diploma. Post-secondary education and Property and Casualty insurance license helpful. Willingness to obtain Property and Casualty insurance license required.--b. EXPERIENCE: Prior managerial, process redesign and clerical experience. Technical knowledge of insurance and the tasks of assigned units are helpful. At least one of the following:1. A minimum of five years experience during the immediately preceding five-year period as an active licensed agent;2. At least three years full-time experience during the immediately preceding five-year period in the administration of an education program; or3. A degree in education plus at least two years insurance during the immediately preceding five-year period.Additional InformationOTHER:1. Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.2. Ability to work under pressure, set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines.3. Confidentiality.4.
