Architect - CoachPosition Overview:As the Lead Data Architect, you
will be responsible for developing and leading the team of
developers and data modelers that architect, govern and maintain
the enterprise data warehouse platforms and related toolsets. This
member will ensure a cohesive approach toward overall EDW project
delivery and demonstrate a pragmatic approach for ensuring
stability, relevance, and speed for powering the analytic insights
and overarching data needs for our digital enterprise. Dedicated to
furthering the footprint of the EDW platforms, you will exude
self-confidence in establishing a cost-effective and scalable
framework for meeting the growing data demands of the enterprise,
meeting the needs of agile development and data modelling,
encompassing highly structured operational and other
Big Data
needs. As a coach, key responsibilities include focusing on team
skill growth & relevancy, work prioritization and oversight on
governance related to the EDW and related portfolio projects and
innovation opportunities. This position will collaborate closely
with the Lead/Coach of the Central Reporting Team and Business
Intelligence developers in understanding the growing data
requirements from our reporting consumer and together how the data
assets and related data modelling maintained within the EDW
facilitate analytical success. As required, the Lead will also
coordinate and manage off-shore/near-shore/on-shore relationships
with support contracts, maintaining specifications and solution
quality. Harnessing the ever-growing landscape of data and analytic
needs, you will be empowered to stay abreast of trends and impact
to the organization, as well as to innovate and explore new
functionality.Responsibilities:Create a team focused on delivering
high quality solutions and service to our members and
stakeholders.Foster a culture of teamwork across the IT team and
the organization.Establish and maintain architecture, standards and
best practices for data ingestion, data modelling, data tiering and
data destruction.Develop requisite data models, considering data
quality, governance, tiering, means of consumption and
frequency/recency of results.Owns responsibility for optimal
performance and governance regarding data integrity and objects in
the reporting enterprise and ensure consistency and synchronization
between systemsEnsure education material supporting analytic tools
exist and remain recent.Assist in the definition of required
security models as designated by the functional owners.Perform
requisite support and maintenance of the EDW Platforms (and
connected systems) and other ETL systems in line with Service Level
Agreements, which may require 24/7 on-call support.Education:A
background in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related
Discipline. MBA or equivalent desirable.Experience:Minimum 8 years
hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (ADLS, Data Factory,
Synapse Azure Functions, DevOps)Conceptual experience with Big Data
platformsKnowledge of multi-dimensional data structures and
relational reporting environmentsExperience in creating, debugging,
migrating data pipelines using Azure Data FactoryAbility to create
and maintain conceptual/business, logical and physical data
models.SAP Business Warehouse knowledge desiredSkills:Proven
ability to be proactive, motivate others and affect changeAbility
to express complex technical concepts in terms that are
understandable by non-technical usersRequires a combination of
strong technical knowledge and leadership skills. Successful
experience in a coaching position with proven ability to provide
directionStrong knowledge of SQL and query optimization
skillsAbility to facilitate interactive design and functional
specification sessions and work with end user groups to define
application needs and identify feasible solutionsStrong analytical
problem-solving, and conceptual skills. A demonstrated track record
in new concept development for a variety of projects and complex
analytic artifactsSolid communication skills (verbal, written,
listening) and the ability to interact with all levels of
Johnsonville customers and membersAbility to work with others in
developing and implementing new processes and enabling systems.A
