This is where you'll do your part to make Johnsonville great, by keeping our machines, lines and facilities running. You and your maintenance teammates will be responsible for all production and industrial refrigeration equipment, as well as our electrical and controls systems. You'll also work closely with our engineers and production members to make important upgrades to our production machinery, as innovate and grow our business.

Maintenance Inventory and Scheduling Specialist

1st Shift

Position Overview:

Check out this opportunity to be part of the Maintenance and Operations Teams at Johnsonville. The Maintenance Inventory and Scheduling Specialist will not only be involved in maintaining current inventory, but it will allow you to apply your knowledge to helping Johnsonville become the "Best Company in the World."

Responsibilities (Inventory) Reports to Plant Engineer:

Inventory Management: Tracking inventory parts, watching for shortages and overstock, general parts room housekeeping, replacing faded or missing labels and organizing parts cabinets
Cycle counting weekly
Analyze parts failure data
Parts kitting as needed
Work with Accounting on packing list or invoice discrepancies and submissions
Coordinate parts return to vendors and fill out the proper documentation
Identify critical parts and slow moving or obsolete parts
Work with Planner and MRO with changes made to stock parts (safety stock, vendor part numbers)
Run inventory accuracy, inventory turns and scrapped parts reports for Maintenance Coordinator, Maintenance Planner and MRO
Create BOM (Bill of Materials) for equipment
Run blocked invoices and verify that parts were received, and quantities match the PO
Set up new parts in inventory utilizing parts add forms

Responsibilities (Maintenance Scheduler) Reports to Plant Engineer:

Work with the Plant Engineer on performing PM Optimization
Create Maintenance work schedules using Vizyia Scheduling Tool for the Maintenance Leads to execute the following week, which include Preventative Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, corrective work and resource requirements, and modify schedule depending on production demands
Work with the plant operations team to help approve, prioritize, and coordinate weekly schedule along with scheduling down time based on equipment needs
Schedule for plant shutdowns and the necessary resources to execute shutdown work
Assist with staging/kitting of parts and materials needed for scheduled work orders
Work directly with maintenance leads to ensure break in work is being utilized in Vizyia
Serve as the Vizyia scheduling tool subject matter expert
Schedule outside services as requested
Run schedule compliance and plant maintenance completion reports and identify discrepancies
Participate in Continuous Improvement and RCA/Problem Solving Teams
Complete all other duties as assigned


High School Diploma or equivalent required


3 years prior related Maintenance experience required; GMP/USDA regulated area, preferred
Working knowledge of SAP/ Vizyia, preferred
Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook experience, preferred

Skills and Competencies:

Ability to perform responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner
Always comply with GMP and safety rules
Good decision making and work prioritization skills
Highly motivated self-starter with the willingness to learn

Other requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and to load/unload freight with forklift
