They are responsible for designing complicated dies, tools, gages, jogs, and fixtures working from customer supplied drawings or sketches to produce detailed drawings of dies, tools which can then be used by Tool & Die makers.*Essential Functions*Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.* Design of complicated dies, tools, gages, and welding/automation fixtures ensuring maximum economy of operations consistent with quantities to be produced along with close tolerance specifications.* Use of solidworks/logopress3 design software.* Offers suggestions, answers, and alternatives for customer's questions, concerns or potential problems* Works closely with Tool & Die personnel in addressing production, questions, concerns.* Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.* Follows and adapts to procedures as described in the Quality System Procedures.* All other duties as assigned.*Required Education and Experience*Minimum of a high school education or GED and 2-5 years previous manufacturing experience, with 1-2 years of tool & die background.Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.*Work Environment*While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
