Job Description:

Responsible for firmware design, development, documentation, engineering, and testing of the induction cooking/warming processes and equipment.ResponsibilitiesDesign responsibility for power electronic control algorithms, firmware development, system-level features and testing for commercial induction warming, heating and cooking equipment.Design, develop, and document control algorithms for power electronics using C/C++ programming language and Visio.Function as team member contributing to efforts of product development to achieving project deliverables.Collaborate with research consultants, Hardware Engineers and other cross-functional teams for Research and development for Next-generation intelligent cooking equipment.Develop product level and system level control firmware to meet user experience requirements.Work with power electronics hardware engineers to develop new and support released product with a firmware focus.Prepare detailed test plans for product code, monitor test performance, correct deficiencies as needed, and prepare test reports and recommendations to management.Prepare cost estimates and schedules for assigned projects. Provide reports to management and customers as needed.Provide technical guidance to engineering personnel.Support manufacturing and customer service with technical problems on released products.QualificationsMaster's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Embedded Systems, Software Engineering, or similar discipline. AND 2 years Industry ExperienceORBS in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or similar discipline. AND 2-4 years Industry ExperienceExperience in writing firmware and debugging using C/C++ for microcontrollers and DSPs.Experience with power electronics control algorithms or other closed loop control systems.Experience with power electronics applications, including heating, low voltage inverters, UPS systems, or similar technologies.Experience with device driver development for (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, DAC, ADC, PWM, and EEPROM).Developing Bootloaders for firmware flashing.Version Control using GIT Lab.Working knowledge of power semiconductors, IGBTs and MOSFETs, soft switching technologies and DC/DC conversion.Working knowledge of analog design and power conversion to include induction heating and switch mode power supplies.Experience with analog design and power conversion.Experience in using PCB schematics in conjunction with hardware engineers to complete system design.Experience using multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, spectrum analyzers and other laboratory engineering tools.Strong teamwork and customer-focused orientation.Strong oral and written communication skills in English.Assembly Language control experience not required but a plus.Experience and knowledge of communication protocols not required but a plus.Experience with TI C2000 family DSP's and it's control peripherals a plus.Experience with ARM Architecture microcontrollers not required but a plus.Ability to speak Chinese not required but a plus.Company Culture RequirementsTreat all people with Respect - People matter.
