Job Type: RegularThe Coagulator Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the continuous batch process cheese making equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Understand the entire feta make process. Set up and run the daily production schedule as needed. Monitor all ingredients used and replenish as needed. Oversee the operation of the coagulator and make corrections as needed. Oversee all conveyors and make corrections as needed. Monitor ware items on equipment and replace per Agropur policy. Monitor the product to keep within make-specification and adjust as needed. Wash equipment as needed and maintain a clean environment. Aid Production Supervisor when running trials. Monitor all chemicals and replenish as needed. Advise Production Supervisor of issues in a timely manner. Communicate with other plant workers/operators as needed. Other Duties and Responsibilities: Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices. Safety Protocol Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures. Correct or report any observed safety hazards. Support safety policies and programs. Qualifications: Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience Required: No experience required; in-house training provided. Previous cheese making experience preferred. Certification/Licensure Required: Cheese Makers and/or Pasteurizer License preferred; in-house training toward Licensure provided. Skills Required: Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues. Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work. Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation. Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to solve problems by adapting knowledge and experience. Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
