Job Description:
US Foods, a premier foodservice distributor in America, is
seeking a skilled Manager of Fleet & Facility Operations to oversee
and enhance our fleet and facility management processes. This role
is pivotal in ensuring that both our physical operations and
transportation logistics are operating with high efficiency,
reliability, and compliance with all safety and regulatory
standards. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting
our mission of delivering high-quality products and services to
approximately 300,000 restaurants and foodservice operators
nationwide. By driving improvements and operational excellence in
our facilities and fleet operations, this role supports our
business in succeeding while maintaining cost-effectiveness and
sustainability. Manage day-to-day operations of both facilities and
fleet, ensuring all activities comply with company policies and
legal guidelines. Develop and implement maintenance schedules for
vehicles and equipment. Conduct regular inspections and audits of
facilities and fleet to ensure safety and operational standards are
met. Collaborate with senior management to identify and implement
cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements. Oversee the
coordination of logistics and distribution of fleet, managing
schedules and routes effectively. Supervise, train, and mentor
facility and fleet management teams, fostering a culture of safety
and continuous improvement. Lead sustainability initiatives to
minimize environmental impact of fleet operations and facilities.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and procurement for the department.
Strong leadership and management capabilities. In-depth knowledge
of facility and fleet operation standards and regulations.
Proficient in logistics and supply chain management. Excellent
analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and
interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in Fleet Management
(NAFA Fleet Management Association or similar) Project Management
Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
