Job Description:
As the Field Manager the primary focuses will be: The Field
Manager is a field-based leader responsible for overseeing
installation quality, training field staff, and ensuring jobsite
safety. They act as a key communicator between internal teams and
customers, aligning expectations and resolving issues. This role
also collaborates closely with project management to maintain
consistency with client standards while proactively managing
on-site risks. Essential Functions Customer Satisfaction & Quality
Assurance Serve as a point of contact for installation-related
issues and conduct regular job site visits to uphold Emerald Blue’s
“Best In Class Standards.” Monitor multiple installations
concurrently to ensure progress aligns with project timelines and
expectations. Maintain regular communication with customers and
project managers to ensure quality standards are met throughout
each project phase. Conduct an average of 1.5 site audits per week
to assess quality, training effectiveness, and safety compliance.
Training & Team Development Deliver hands-on training and
mentorship in both installation techniques and soft skills to new
and current employees. Support the onboarding and development of
field staff, assisting with performance reviews and employee growth
plans. Conduct scheduled performance evaluations and contribute to
the development of improvement initiatives. Assist in training
staff and provide daily leadership to ensure crews are prepared
with the proper materials, plans, and direction. Safety & Risk
Management Conduct on-site safety checks and enforce compliance
with all Emerald Blue safety protocols. Represent the RCI/Safety
department in internal meetings, including QP3, Safety Committee,
Supervisor, and PM meetings. Obtain and maintain required
certifications, including OSHA certifications, a DOT Health Card
and Driver Trainer certification. May also be asked to obtain
Forklift and Order Picker Trainer certifications as needed. Project
Support Prepare and review pre-installation documentation such as
punch forms, change orders, and site paperwork to ensure readiness.
Support project management with site visits, field verifications,
coordination efforts, and delivery tracking in systems like Hedberg
and WebTrax. Participate in weekly schedule meetings and attend
pre-installation meetings when available. Provide support within
the warehouse when needed, maintaining a working knowledge of
warehouse operations and systems. Manage and replenish field
inventory through quarterly audits and regular restocking. Travel &
Flexibility Be available for overnight travel and overtime as
necessary to support project execution and field operations. Skills
and Abilities Demonstrated ability to write, speak, and present
information effectively Highly organized with ability to perform
multiple tasks and priorities Knowledge of lean methods Demonstrate
leadership Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
