We invite you to learn more about why Johnsonville was recently recognized as the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) National Employer of the Year!Johnsonville Sausage Job PostingLine Leader/ Assistant Team Leader2nd ShiftPay Range: $23.77/hr - $25.25/hr + $1.50 Shift PremiumHours: 1:00pm - 9:30pm (Overtime as production demands)ResponsibilitiesLead Members to deliver continuous improvement in the areas of human and food safety, quality, cost of goods manufactured, HICS, hassle free service to our customers at the lowest possible costs, member development and the BPTW to meet World Class results in these areas.Learn and understand the smoked/cooked side of the process.Train Members on the process and provide support on the line for breaks and rotation on an as needed basis.Have ownership of results in the teams and plant's performance, productivity, and efficient utilization of resources.Help to create, support and maintain an environment that ensures Member involvement in the implementation of programs, ideas and suggestions, and guidelines that ensure fairness to all Members while improving Member morale and work life.Perform various documentation and quality checks according to the company control limits and guidelines that are in place.Develop a thorough understanding of TQC and HACCP processes including daily temperatures check reports, pre-operational and operational inspection, and the pre-shipment review process.Ensure all USDA and in-house sampling procedures and paperwork are followed. Coordinate R&D tests and ensure they are completed.Coach Members to recognize hazard recognition to prevent accidents from occurring. Ensure that all safety procedures are followed.Promote continuous improvement amongst team Members. Provide them with the opportunity, to make commitments (goals/targets) and to grow and stretch beyond their current position by reaching for these new opportunities.Actively participate and facilitate meetings/teams that you attend such as the daily "TAILGATE" (business) meeting.Lead Members to consistently manufacture "great tasting" sausage products according to specifications.Build a strong Development Plan to support your goals while capturing your new learning opportunities and ongoing personal development.Learn and be an active part of the developing and enhancing new technology in the cooked/smoked side of the plant to promote continuous improvement.Ability to create necessity and provide support to achieve all the team's goals and objectives.Set goals and objectives; both personal and as a team member to acquire "superlative" performance in order to support Johnsonville's journey to become the best company in the world.Schedule members and manage time approvals in Kronos daily.ExperiencePrevious experience in leadership (projects or teams)Minimum of 1 year experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.Skills and CompetenciesDemonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to function and support a team-based environment.Work experiences that demonstrate Johnsonville's Core Values, i.e., Commitment to Integrity,Continuous Learning, Teamwork, Continuous Improvement, Superlative Performance and InnovationAbility to obtain or prior knowledgeable in regulatory compliance (Human Safety, USDA, HACCP).Strong interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.Strong basic math background is requiredMust be able to complete production paperwork accuratelyMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to identify CCP's in the packaging area and maintain all GMP'sDemonstrated desire to learn, grow and to take on increasing responsibility to further developand transition into other leadership roles in the company.Must be able to demonstrate ownership and leadership on a daily basis.
