Job Details - Location: Madison, WI 53715 — Madison, Wisconsin; great opportunity for travel nurses and local RNs seeking float pool work - Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130 per week - Setting: Resource Pool / Float (Medical-Surgical Unit) — Med/Surg RN, float pool, clinical support - Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN / Travel Nurse) - Start Date: April 6, 2026 - End Date: July 6, 2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights) — Night Shift RN - Hours per Week: 36 - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - On-Site Position: Must be on-site in Madison Job Requirements - Minimum 2 years recent Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN) experience - Minimum 1 completed travel contract (travel nurse experience preferred) - Comfortable managing neuro and surgical patients within a medical-surgical unit - Active Wisconsin RN license (RN licensure in WI) - BLS (AHA) certification required - NIHSS certification required - Valid driver’s license - Recent skills checklist (within 1 year of submission) - Work history / resume - License verification - Copy of required certifications - One supervisory reference at time of submission - Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility (unless local to Madison, with a rate adjustment) Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care as part of an interdisciplinary team — focus on clinical excellence for Med/Surg patients - Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed (float pool / resource pool assignments) - Manage care for neuro and surgical patients on the Medical-Surgical unit - Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR (EPIC experience preferred) - Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and competency assessments as scheduled - Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety protocols, and regulatory requirements This is an ideal Wisconsin nursing job for experienced Med/Surg RNs and travel nurses seeking flexible float opportunities in Madison.
