Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Tech
Cardiovascular to join our faith-based healthcare organization. In
this role, you will be an integral part of our surgical team,
focusing on cardiovascular procedures. You will work in a highly
collaborative environment equipped with state-of-the-art
technology, supporting efforts to provide top-tier, compassionate,
and personalized patient care. As a member of Ascension, you will

Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring that all
necessary equipment is available and functioning properly. Assist
in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons,
registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. Maintain a sterile
environment to comply with infection control protocols. Assist in
patient positioning, prepping, and draping before and during the
surgical procedure. Handle and monitor surgical instruments and
supplies during operations and count sponges, needles, supplies,
and instruments before and after operation. Provide support in
cardiovascular procedures and follow specific guidelines and
protocols. Participate in post-operative debriefing and assist in
transferring patients to recovery rooms. Knowledge of sterile and
aseptic techniques. Proficiency in handling and caring for surgical
instruments and equipment. Ability to follow detailed instructions
and maintain calm under pressure. Excellent teamwork and
communication skills. Understanding of cardiovascular surgical
procedures and terminology. Ability to react quickly and
effectively in emergencies. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Surgical
Technologist (CST) credential required. Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification required.
