Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVOR - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - OR Job Details: • Work 8-hour variable shifts with 40 guaranteed hours per week • 13-week contract assignment with immediate start availability • Required to be outside 50-mile radius from facility • On-call requirements: 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month, 1 backup per week with potential for additional call • Call-back minimum of 2 hours when called in • Weekend and holiday rotation: every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation • May be required to float to other Central locations if needed • Can be low-censused and placed on call • Work in 21 operating rooms including all specialties with 3 CV rooms and 1-2 PV rooms • Handle 1-5 cases per day, approximately 45 per month • Cardiothoracic experience required including off/on pump bypass graft cases, AVR, MVR, TVR, full maze, minimally invasive maze, thoracoscopic/thoracotomy, pacemakers, TAVR, pericardial windows, and ascending aortic dissections with subclavian cannulation • Perform downtime tasks including pulling case carts, stocking, and cleaning • Potential to circulate general cases during downtime • Must demonstrate critical thinking skills, motivation, and strong knowledge of cardiac surgery • Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, Wisconsin RN License • Minimum 2 years OR experience with cardiac experience and prior travel experience required • Epic charting system preferred • Associate degree or certificate required • Any color scrubs acceptable • Must wear mask at all times if declining flu and COVID vaccination during flu season • GSA hours not guaranteed during orientation week Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive surgical program with 21 operating rooms covering all specialties including advanced cardiovascular procedures.
