Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days,
nights - Employment Type: Travel ER RN – Job Summary Training &
Start Training: 2 shifts in Stevens Point 1 shift in the new
facility prior to opening First week of training may be Day Shift
(7A–7P) New Facility Opening: 3/1/2026 Position Details Department:
Emergency Room (ER RN) Shift Options: 7A–7P or 7P–7A Scheduling:
Block scheduling (manager-built) Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd
weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun) Holiday Requirement: Every 3rd holiday (major
winter holidays expected) On-Call: No scheduled call; may be placed
on call if no inpatients (rotated) Certifications Required: BLS,
ACLS, PALS Strongly Preferred: TNCC, NRP, ENPC Facility Overview
Type: Critical Access / Non-Designated Beds/Trauma Bays: 7 triage
Volume: Expected 30–40 patients/day Urgent Care: Combined ED/Urgent
Care (8A–8P) Triage: Bedside (no dedicated triage nurse) ED Holds:
Mixed within ED; transfers to Weston or Marshfield Psych Rooms: No
Security: No onsite security; panic button linked to 911 Staffing &
Ratios Nurse Ratios: 1:3–4 Staffing: 2 RNs in-house (3 on
Mon/Tue/Fri; additional as needed) 1 ED Provider 24/7 PA (Mon–Sat,
8A–8P) 1 ED Tech/HUC 24/7 (labs, IVs, EKGs, patient care) Skills &
Experience Experience Required: 1 year ED in CAH/similar setting or
2 years ED experience if first-time traveler Must be comfortable
with limited resources Must be willing to flex to inpatient
Med/Surg (unit opening later) Common Drips: Heparin, Diltiazem
Tele: GE monitors – RNs read own strips RT: No onsite RT – RN
assists with intubation, vents, BiPAP/CPAP Diagnostics X-ray & CT:
24/7 (self-transport) MRI: Mobile unit (limited ED use) Ultrasound:
POC available Labs: Drawn by RN/Techs Floating Required to work ED
and inpatient unit (when opened – 10 beds) Possible support shifts
at Stevens Point (same-size facility) Dress Code Scrubs: Solid
color (likely Navy Blue; not mandatory yet) Orientation 3 full ED
shifts in Stevens Point prior to opening Mandatory CBTs and
paperwork during first week Local Rate Local defined as within 80
