Ability to independently use steam sterilizers, Vpro units, and
medivators - Experience with decontamination, assembly, and
sterilization processes - Familiarity with a wide variety of
surgical instruments across various service lines including
orthopedics, ophthalmology, neuro, plastics, ENT, urology,
cardiothoracic, vascular, GYN, robotics, and general Description:
This position involves processing and maintaining proper care of
all surgical instruments and equipment. Duties include inspection,
evaluation of proper function, cleaning, disinfecting, and
sterilization of instruments. Maintaining quality control and
documentation records of the sterilization process is required. The
role also includes distributing designated supplies and equipment
within the facility. Candidates will float between decontamination,
assembly, and sterilization departments. The technician will work
independently and may be the only person in their designated area.
Routine duties will include assembly, sterilization, wrapping, and
high-level disinfection of instruments. Experience with SPM
tracking is mandatory; candidates without this experience will not
be considered. No additional holiday, on-call, or weekend rotations
