Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n Registered Nurse - PACU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work variable 4x10 hour shifts for 40 hours per week /n• 13-week contract assignment /n• Work in 14-bay PACU with 1:2 patient ratio treating approximately 35 patients per day /n• Provide post-recovery care for patients following general, spine, neuro, GI, ENT, cardiac, peripheral vascular, and orthopedic surgeries /n• Stabilize ICU patients before transferring to appropriate units /n• Required to be on call one night per week for 4 weeks out of 6-week schedule and every 5th weekend /n• Weekday call hours: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM, then 9:30 PM - 7:30 AM the following day /n• 30-minute response time for call backs required /n• Weekend rotation every 5th weekend for on-call duties /n• Holiday rotation required /n• Must wear scrubs of any color /n• 2 years PACU experience required with recent hospital experience /n• Post cardiac and pediatric experience necessary /n• Epic charting experience strongly preferred; previous electronic charting experience required if no Epic background /n• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS /n• Associate degree or certificate required; Bachelor's degree preferred /n• Must comply with facility vaccination and masking policies during flu season /n• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours with potential call-back /n• Must be located outside 50-mile radius of facility /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 14-bay Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) providing specialized post-surgical recovery services. The facility supports a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, spine and neurology, gastroenterology, ENT, cardiac procedures, peripheral vascular surgery, and orthopedics.
