Information $3,166 per week About The Position Job Title: Cardiac
Cath Lab Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Interventional
Radiology, Cath Lab RN, Cardiac Cath Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days
with On-Call Rotation Hours per Shift: 40 hours Experience: Minimum
2 years of RN experience, including 1 year of critical care
experience License: Current RN licensure Certifications: Current
CPR certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
certification, Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification
Must-Have: - Cardiovascular intervention experience - Successfully
pass an EKG test prior to completion of orientation - NIHSS
certification Description: Utilizes the nursing process and
critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team
members in caring for patients. Performs assessments, planning,
intervention, and evaluation of care. Administers prescribed
medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing
techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care. Ensures
all documentation is accurate and comprehensive in accordance with
established standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a
patient plan of care according to the patient's individualized
needs. Utilizes available resources to teach and support patient
and family education. Provides education to the appropriate level
of understanding. Participates in department or unit performance
improvement activities, including shared governance. Utilizes
clinical expertise to guide other units/departments in support of
the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Acts to resolve systems
breakdowns and engages in providing solutions. Utilizes critical
thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, manages
complex situations, and delegates to other staff appropriately.
Escalates issues to the appropriate chain of command as needed.
Positively influences the professional and organizational
environments and shared governance. Engages in personal development
and supports opportunities for continuous learning and growth.
Supports and participates in peer review and peer feedback
opportunities. Participates in the professional nursing continuum.
Maintains timely flow of patients, responds to telephone calls, and
