After successful completion of the probationary period, employee
will receive off probation wage increase. Summary: This position
will plan, develop, organize, direct, and evaluate program
activities of the Behavioral Health Department to meet the needs of
patients, families, employees, and providers. Continuation of this
position is contingent upon funding allocations. Responsibilities:
- Provide for the delivery of excellent customer service for all
internal and external customers of the Oneida Behavioral Health
area of operations at all times and in all activities. - Provide
leadership in the development, implementation, and direction in the
maintenance, monitoring, and compliance of a Strategic Plan for the
area that is aligned with the Comprehensive Health Division, the
National Priorities and customer research. - Supervise Medical
Records Technicians and billing staff. - Assist the Behavioral
Health Director in planning, organizing, managing, and directing
all Behavioral Health operations at all times and in all
activities. - Assist the Behavioral Health Director in Monitoring
the Financial, administrative, grants, personnel, and resource
management of supervisors within Behavioral Health. - Ensure
Behavioral Health Services personnel understand their duties and
responsibilities and have the resources available to carry them
out. - Continually assess and analyze all work performance
activities for the purpose of continually improving in any area. -
Develop, maintain, and facilitate effective relationships,
communications processes and activities with all Behavioral Health
personnel, and all other internal and external customers. - Plan,
organize, and coordinate all behavioral health services. - Assure
that the Behavioral Health Department is in compliance with the
licensure standards, Accreditation standards, and tribal, state and
federal rules and regulations. - Develop, update, and implement the
Personnel Policies and Procedures, in compliance with applicable
laws, regulations, and ordinances. - Achieve financial objectives
by developing, preparing and monitoring the annual budget and
proposal, inclusive of operational plans and objectives;
recommending staffing and expenditures. - Develop, implement and
monitor the Behavioral Health Departmental Productivity Standards.
- Develop, implement and monitor the Behavioral Health Departmental
Quality Improvement Program in collaboration with the Clinical
Improvement Coordinator. - Maintain the ongoing development and
competency evaluation of the Behavioral Health Staff. - Perform
clinical counseling services as required. - Obtain information
about patients through interview, case history, and observational
techniques; evaluates data to identify causes of problems and to
determine advisability of counseling or referral to other
specialists. - Assist in the development, coordination and
coordinate and supervise Master level student internship program
with area colleges. - Improve staff effectiveness by coaching,
counseling, training, and recommending disciplinary action for
employees; planning, delegating, monitoring, and appraising job
tasks and results in a timely manner. - Provide consultative
services to the mental health therapists, dual diagnosis therapist,
clinical substance abuse counselors in accordance with DHS 35 and
DHS75 of the Wisconsin Administrative Codes. - Researches, writes
and edits press releases in coordination with the Division Director
for the Health Division through the Kalihwisaks, and through the
Division Social Media pages. - Keep leadership and other
departments informed of status of activities and of significant
events and problems by attending meetings, submitting reports, and
meeting individually as necessary. - Represent the department and
the Oneida Nation to external agencies, consultants, and other
organizations and individuals. - Contribute to departmental
effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues and
goals that must be addressed; providing information and commentary
pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of
actions; implementing directives - Formulate program for treatment
and rehabilitation of client, using knowledge of mental health
problems and counseling and treatment techniques. - Provide and/or
arrange for therapeutic interventions as appropriate for patients
or clients in a crisis condition and for those with serious
disturbance problems. - Maintain a good communication with
co-workers and maintains a positive and professional work
environment. - Contribute to a team effort and accomplish related
