What you will do as a Key Account & Business Development Manager: As a Key Account & Business Development Manager, you will work closely with projects, service, marketing, and products drive company growth of SmartView and SmartAdvisor through Sales growth and Business Development of Capital Ex engineered projects in the Midwest (Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa) and globally of our niche camera/vision products and systems that detect surface imperfections. This position is pivotal to our business process and plays an important role of creating and executing a strategic plan to optimize sales growth within current customer while also developing new business within established and new markets. The key to success as a Key Account & Business Development Manager is the ability build relationship and development new ones, success with solutions-based selling methodologies, understanding and success with CapEx or projects with a long sales cycle, solid strategic and business plan development, and the ability to uncover market opportunities. Overall, the Key Account Manager will work as an entrepreneur to create and build their own strategic plan to grow CapEx/ large, long-term projects in the form of new system sales, and system upgrades. Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Key Account & Business Development Manager : --- Annual and Strategic Planning for assigned territory and accounts --- Make customer visits, provide sales presentations for all AMETEK Surface Vision offerings, assisted by the pre-sales support team, technically qualify the customer's needs. --- Use solution selling methodologies to sell the value of AMETEK Surface Vision to customers and partners alike. --- Secure sustainable business growth by taking share from direct competitors, finding new profitable opportunities & markets, etc. --- Drive sales forecast accuracy and funnel growth. --- Provide input to product management that helps define and quantify new markets, applications, and competition. --- Implement the company's plan to manage pricing, margins, and cost to maximize sales and profitability and facilitates the collection of unpaid or disputed invoices in conjunction with the finance department.Job Requirements:Position Requirements: --- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or natural science. --- 5-7 years of experience of CAPEX/large,extended cycle sales within Heavy Industries such as Paper, Metals, etc. with previous experience of getting hands-on in the plants/mills/etc. --- Proven experience selling technical, solutions-based systems and/or products preferably within the following: machine vision, surface inspection, web inspection/monitoring, lighting optics, quality control systems, distributive control systems, automation. --- Previous experience or the ability to create sales plans, strategies, and business plans for existing and new markets. --- Previous success entering new industries. --- Ability to translate technical product information into strong customer value propositions. --- Excellent communication and negotiation skills. --- Excellent ability to influence and persuade all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level. --- Positive, passionate about sales, customer relationships, natural problem solver and an innate drive to do new things. --- Comfortable operating in a digital environment such as customer meetings and presentations via Microsoft Teams, using online prospecting tools (e.g. LinkedIn Sales Navigator), supporting virtual tradeshows/conferences, and proactively supporting digital marketing initiatives on a variety of platforms. --- Familiarity with a CRM tools such as SalesForce and other Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). --- Available to travel 40-60% of the time.
