Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. A school district in De Pere, WI, is seeking a qualified professional to provide educational support to elementary students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. This is a contract position running through the current school year with a focus on working directly with a diverse caseload throughout the school day. Key Responsibilities: Deliver instruction and support to elementary students with hearing impairments. Collaborate with teachers and staff to facilitate student learning in reading, writing, and mathematics readiness. Utilize American Sign Language effectively in educational settings. Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs. Qualifications: Completion of at least two years (48 semester hours) of post-secondary education from an accredited institution, or an associate degree or higher. Alternatively, must demonstrate knowledge and ability to assist in instruction through a formal state or local academic assessment. Hold a valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Educational Interpreter License. Experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students, preferably in an elementary setting. Location and Schedule: Onsite position located in De Pere, Wisconsin. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Duration: Current school year contract ending May 29, 2026.
