accounting experience and want to be able to put it to use? The
John Michael Kohler Art Center is looking for a full-time
Accounting Clerk to join our Finance Department.Position SummeryThe
Accounting Clerk will be responsible for the processing and
recording of all cash receipts, accounts receivable, cost
allocations, maintaining certain assets subsidiary records and
supporting the accounts payable function on a timely basis with a
high degree of accuracy and high level of attention to detail.This
position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.Essential Duties &
ResponsibilitiesAn individual in this position must be able to
successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities
listed below. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable

this position.Process accounts payable purchase orders and invoices
including company credit card charges.Process accounts payable
company vendor payments by check and electronic transfer.Update and
maintain accounts payable vendor database.Collect daily "batches"
and verify cash and credit card charges received. Enter Accounts
Receivable invoices and receipts in Accounting Software and follow
up on past due accounts.Enter month end Credit card fees in Microix
for Autopayment.Deposit monies in Bank and record cash receipts in
Accounting Software.Maintain petty cash disbursements and
recording.Prepare journal entries to charge individual programs for
various costs, such as copies, postage, and inventory/cost of
sales.Maintain receivables, payables, pre-paid expenses, other
assets, inventory, and fixed assets subsidiary records, balancing
monthly to the general ledger.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge,

skillsQualifications:Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from
a two-year college or technical school; two years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
and experience.At least one year of experience in accounts payables
and receivables at a very detailed level.Proficiency in Excel
software required; knowledge of accounting software, and Microsoft
Word is beneficial.Accuracy and a high level of attention to detail
are essential.Not for profit experience preferred.Physical

usually moderate. May occasionally work inside or outside at events
